  • Calling EndFrame on render materials

    Afternoon

Does anyone know what this error could be related to: [V-Ray] UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: Calling frameEnd() on render materials

Starting to crash out on the farm via backburner with this error. Using Max 2017.2 and vray 3.6 latest official.

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Can you please send the the logs from V-Ray and Backburner for this job to support@chaosgroup.com
Please mention the forum thread in the e-mail.

Also can you please let us know what is the version of the OS that runs on the render nodes.

I looked at the logs in the user/app data/local/temp folder etc and they aren't updated, last entry was from last month I will have a look at the other nodes. Does the log get re-written every-time a new render starts/finishes?

Anyway I shall have a look and try send on thanks

        Hello,

In case the Backburner is running as a service with the local system account can you please check in the systemprofile local appdata for the logs ( C:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\L ocal ). If it is running as a user please check in %localappdata%\backburner
If there is an issue with starting V-Ray it is possible that there were no logs created for it. To troubleshoot the issue further you can start up the V-Ray Spawner for Max 2017 and send us the 3ds Max network logs - %localappdata%\Autodesk\3dsMax\2017 - 64bit\ENU\Network
