Texture in bokeh slot when not using DOF renders black

I'm using vray 3.5.04. I have to change the aperature shape to circular or bladed for the image to render correctly.

I cannot seem to reproduce the issue on our side. Could you try the latest official V-Ray build from our website and if the issue is still present, please send us a test scene to support@chaosgroup.com.
