  • RT Camera Map Per Pixel Vray erroring

Hi I have a scene which is throwing some error's on a couple of machines and not others.

The error that I recieve is below.
error [VRayRTMax::renderThreadProc] Exception occurred in rendering thread

This error occurs whenever in use RT cpu when I am using camera map per pixel.
This is making camera map per pixel unusable.
The funny thing is it works on another machine in the office, but fails on others,

My machine is also throwing an alarming amount of Duplicate plugin ID's and a few errors Loading plugin Librarys including "vray_CameraDome.dll" "vray_CameraStereoscopic.dll" "vray_Mtl2Sided.dll" "vray_NewGI.dl"

It would be amazing if someone could help me on the. I had my machine rebuilt today and still throwing the errors.

    Thanks

    Hello,

Duplicated plugin ID errors show issues with your V-Ray installation. The plugins you mention (vray_cameradome etc..) are left from some old installation and shouldn't be present at all. You could try to uninstall V-Ray, check if all those plugins are really removed (they are located in Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\RT for 3ds Max YourMaxVersion for x64\bin\plugins) and install V-Ray again. Those old plugins could also be the cause for the crash.

If fixing the plugins doesn't help - when the error happens V-Ray should create a crash dump called VRay.dmp located in the temp folder (%temp% in windows explorer). Could you send one such dump to our support for investigation? Could you also send the problem scene or a simplified version of it?

Also what is the exact version of V-Ray you are using?

    Best regards,

FYI we fixed it it was indeed a problem with our windows deployment seems 3.4 was installed on it then 3.6 over the top leaving these things behind. So all fixed now with a clean install, no warnings or errors thanks for your help
