  • Substance maps render incorrectly

    Hi all,

I've come across this problem with the substance 2 map in 3ds max 2018 and the plugin that is available on the Allegorithmic site for 3ds Max and vray.

You'll see in the attached images that the colour is completely off in the material ball and the actual render, it also does not seem to render at all in IPR mode.

Is this a vray problem or an Allegorithmic problem, because the colour looks correct in the diffuse map.

Any help would be very useful, cheers.

Hopefully this will get fixed with the next update/version of Vray.

Can you post the scene from your first post?

It would be good to also report this to Allegorithmic. If written correctly, the substance plugin should work right away without us having to do anything specific about it.

      Best regards,
      Vlado

I am also having this issue. The material renders fine when using buckets or progressive rendering, but if using IPR rendering, it just shows up as black. Since it renders fine in 2 out of 3 modes in vray, I'm thinking the error is on the V-Ray side. Not pointing fingers, I just have more confidence in you guys fixing it.

Hi Vlado, did you ever get around to having a look at the scene, did you get the same result I did? I still can't seem to figure out why it looks completely wrong.

            Cheers.
