Duplicated vray toolbar

So I did a complete system reinstall because of some BSODs I had with updates etc. But now my Vray toolbar is twice the size.



And the right half doesn't even work. Reinstall didn't work. Uninstall and reinstall didn't work either. Clicking the Register Vray menus didn't work either. Suggestions?

Joking aside did you try to rename ENU folder under user profile
Also try to play with "Custom UI and defaults switcher"

Haha that would be great but no. I switched to the vray max ui but no joy and I just set up everything back to normal, (lots of scripts and plugins buttons), I'd rather not do it all again

Which V-Ray version and which Max version? If you right-click on a toolbar, do you see it listed twice?

Max 2018 + Latest Official Vray 2.6. The Vray Toolbar is only listed once.


The buttons that are duplicated, don't do anything and some weird symbols appear when I hover over it.

I guess you mean Latest Official Vray 3.6 ?
And could you try the next, please:

1. Ensure that 3ds Max 2018 is not running.
2. Navigate to the following path in Windows 7, 8.1 or 10.

C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMaxD esign\2018-64\ENU
or
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2018 - 64bit\ENU

3.Rename the ENU folder to ENU_Old. When 3ds Max is launched, a new ENU folder is created.
If the issue is not resolved, you can revert to the previous settings by deleting the new ENU folder and renaming the old folder back to what it was.

The last question: What kind of max theme do you use?

I am having a similar issue on both of my machines but running 3ds max 2019. In addition to Vray I have the Railclone, Forestpack plugins plus Rapid tools and Design Toolbox. Everything was playing nice till the upgrade to Vray 3.6. Renameing the ENU folder as Anna suggested fixes the vray toolbar but that wipes out all my customizations.
