  • VFB - background as foreground watermark doesn't save

You know what would be useful, and I'm bewildered why this isn't the case.

But I saw that you could add a watermark to your image by loading an EXR into the background slot of the VFB, and then having it set to foreground.

It looks great in the VFB, but doesn't save out to file, even if you manually save.

Maybe it's because I'm testing it out on the Next Beta - whatever the case... what is the problem?

I'm using Vray next and Max 2015

Currently the Background image option is only for preview in the VFB and you could not save it out, but this is our "to do" list for the future. As a workaround, for now you coould use the "Copy current channel to clipboard" and then paste your image with the watermark in a photo edit software.

Should be possible in vray next beta, at least that's what the notes said.

Thanks Nikolay - this would be a really great feature, because it would basically allow me to skip using post production tools completely, for a great many of my jobs,
