  • RT: VRayVelocity not respecting camera based movement with CUDA

    Hi,

I have a static scene with a very fast moving camera and would like do add motion blur in post.

When I try rendering the VRayVelocity pass with RT and CUDA, the pass just turns out full grey.

RT-CPU and VRay Adv render just fine.

Is there a way to get the velocity pass to work with CUDA? I really only have the render capacities for GPU-rendering.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

It is working for moving objects. We will fix it for cameras in the near future.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

      Hi,

Thanks for reporting this. We've resolved the problem and the fix will be available in tomorrow's nightly builds for V-Ray Next. Do you need the fix also in V-Ray 3.6 stable?

        Hi,
        Thanks for your reply.
I ended up building a very basic CPU-pass for velocity information only, as I was really short on time in my project when I reported the issue.
It would be really helpful, to have it working in 3,6 as well, though.
