  • Vray GPU render with Hair and Fur Modifier?

The title says it all, I seem unable to do RT renders with 3ds Max's default hair & fur Mod.

Do you have scene showing the problem? Which V-Ray version are you using?

Hey! Yes, in GPU rendering it doesn't show up but vray fur works. I'm running Vray 3.6 on 3ds 2014

Can you mail a scene showing the problem with a link to this thread to support@chaosgroup.com please?

        Thanks,
        Best,
        Blago.

edit: no need to send scene for now, please check the Yavor answer below.

          Hello,

Unfortunately the Hair and Fur modifier is currently not supported in RT at all. For now we only support VRayFur, Ornatrix and HairFarm.
We have the problem logged in our system but it is still not fixed - sorry for the inconvenience.

          Best regards,
          Yavor

Thanks savage309 and yaor.rubenov for getting back promptly. Will keep with bucket rendering then.

              Hello,

I can see that Hair&Fur is still not supported on Vray 5 for GPU.
Do you still have it in your agenda? And if that s case, do you have an idea when this will be available.

              Best
              Sebastien

Just wanted to second this request. I'm trying to render a bed with a furry blanket but have to resort to CPU rendering or recreating it with VrayFur.

Chaos, really, are there any plans on making Hair & Fur working for GPU? This is the one thing i wish for this christmas!
