VolumeGrid for v-ray 3.60 and Next Beta will not generate a velocity element from Field3d.
There is no problem with VRay 3.40.

correctly using Voluemetric Geometry and channel mapping.

    Please check and fix.

      Hey,

The fix will be in the V-Ray 3.6 stable nightlies tomorrow (Wednesday 11 Apr).

Please note that using the attached scene in order to see the velocity, you need to lower the 'max velocity' of the render element from 100 to a smaller value - like the default 1.0.

This is because along with the fix for not showing the velocity element, there is another change which makes the velocity render element in 3ds Max the proper scale - now a moving geometry and the Phoenix volumes will show the velocity in the same scale which was not the case before.

      Cheers!
