  • Auto exposure rendering black in hires

    Hi there,

I'm rendering a set of images, where I've used the auto exposure (vray next B2).
It's working fine and giving good results, but if I want to render the same image on a higher resolution (9000x6000px, my image is rendered black.
After turning off AE the image is rendering fine...
Anyone having this issue? and any tips how to resolve this?

    Thank you
    Pieter

I'm not aware of this issue - is there anything specific needed for reproducing it, or just increasing the resolution makes it fail?

    Best regards,
    Vlado

      Hi Vlado,

It might be a combination with another object. But in this scene it was caused (and resolved) by auto exposure in hi res.
Once I got a part of the render done with a region but I couldn't get the rest of the image by a region render again so I turned off the AE, which is a nice feature btw.
The scene was lit with an hdr dome light.
I'll see if you need the full scene to reproduce this. Otherwise I'll send a part of the scene.
In the mean time I got my render wo AE but would be good if you find the issue for the future.

      Thanks
      Pieter

I haven't managed to reproduce it. Could you send a scene to tanya.todorova@chaosgroup.com so we can investigate it?

        Best Regards!
