  • Merging vrayProxies

    Hi there,

I'm having some issues with merging proxies from previous projects.
The project I'm merging from has all the assets and proxies collected to the project folder's sceneassets and are correctly mapped.
Usually this works fine, but lately I've had issues with this, quite annoying after selecting a list of 50+ items :s

Please let me know what the cause of this issue could be.
    Thanks!

Oh I see, they aren't correctly linked anymore. I too have that issue sometimes, that's why I stopped working with proxies but rather use Xref Objects. Sorry don't have valuable input.
    A.

      Thanks for letting me know.
I hope this gets fixed in a future update.

Can't reproduce it here, maybe I'm missing something. Can you send me the files?
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

          Hi Peter,

Thanks for looking into this for me, the strange thing is that it doesn't occur each time here.
I can share the scene files with you via a shared link, I assume you need the max file from where I was merging, with all the assets?
I'll send you an email with the link.

It happens to me sometimes too, all I do is just delete and merge them in again. I have not been able to figure out why, but remerging solves the problem.

              Hi Wim.
              thank you for your reply.
That's what I do too, but it takes quite some time.
Definitely if you handpick all of the elements, and then doing it all over again.

Well if this is the solution for now you could speed it up by duplicating the scene and deleting everything except the proxies you need and merge that one until success.

Hi Ashley, nice Idea will try that if it happens more often.
Usually it happens unexpected once in a while, so it's just a bit frustrating not knowing when to expect it to fail...

                  Thanks
