it appears that when scene system units is set to meter, VrayAerialPerspective range and height parameters are wrong. They require to be multiplied by 100 to work as meters, resulting in a need to input very high number. Since both of these are distance units, they should be specific as distance units in 3ds Max, so that the unit conversion happens correctly.
