  • Vray for 3dsMax - Expose Maxscript related

    Hello and thanks in advance.

How can I expose code related to the Material Swatches checkbox?
    - Sometimes or always if this option is disabled and there is some corona material in the SME, 3dsmax may crash.

The option is not exposed to Maxscript.
If you have a scene that crashes with specific shaders or maps in the SME, please send it to our support for investigation, as it shouldn't happen at all (and unchecking that box shouldn't make any difference to it either!).

What Lele said - if you have a scene that crashes due to the option please send it our way.

In addition - the setting itself is actually not a scene setting but a global per user setting so once you set it it should stick in all scenes. It is written in a file in the Max profile (f.e C:\Users\your user name\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2023 - 64bit\ENU\en-US\plugcfg\vraymaterialpreview.cfg).
