I am working with these huge textures (8-16k) and the initial loading of the material editor takes a lot of time. Sometimes also changes to complex blend materials as well, not speaking of noise maps.
GPU is most often worse than CPU.
Can we do something about this? Like having proxies only for the material editor? And lowering the render quality?
To be honest I stopped looking at the previewws in the editor and only use IPR for material creation. Something like the corona previews would be nice. This unrepresentative standard ball doesnt help.
