  • Adding "Comment" layer in VFB

    Hello,

Is there any possibility to add some sort of "comment layer" in VFB that does not affect end results?

It can be blank pass element with possibility of placing comments or even drawing (generating outline) shapes directly on it in VFB and saving it along with other render elements without affecting end results.

    Usage application:
Streamlining workflow without need for 3rd party software and sending separate video, EXR or Vray image formats support saving passes directly, so i guess that shouldn't be any issue.

    Example usage:
When sequence is sent for rendering you can add pass and encircle issue, outline or add note to that render element layer "Make sure this stays same color, denoise, add glare etc." so when someone does video editing he can revert to this note layer for further guidelines, just by enabling it in Nuke Affter or even Photoshop.

Additional options that would be great:
Tracking subject (outlining) in frame by color, object and material ID.
Sequence duration it affects (frame 0 to 65 or every nth frame)
Frame numbering and timeline embedded should be great.

    What are the chances?

    Take care,
    Ivan

    Hey,

    We will consider it
If it was that easy, it would have already been done
