  • From VFB always render active viewport.......possible?

As the title suggests, as we commonly are looking at the VFB and hitting render from here, isn't it possible to have this be the default behaviour?
This is certainly true if I use the render settings render button.
If not, no worries - it just always...always catches me out

When you hit the render button in the VFB, we execute the 3ds Max "render last" command, and it renders whatever was rendered previously. I actually prefer this, instead of rendering the active view, because the active view is usually some ortho view that I used to move stuff around or to zoom into some part of the scene... Corona renders the active view and it's super frustrating for me. I suppose we can make a poll about it though

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Doesn't the lock camera in the render settings work with Corona?
For if it did, that would be the one-size-fits-all solution.
If it doesn't, then let it behave like "render last"/f9, which is an evil we know.

Hehe well it's always democratic thing so I will go with the flow of what people prefer.
Incidentally, I had a thread up earlier about the Maya version having a right-click option on the VFB render button, allowing for a change of view, so that is sort of a compromise.

Shift + q in max for quick render will always render the active viewport - I'm like vlado though since I'm always on shot work and using a specific camera...

Here is the thread I found about the Maya thing.
            Shift Q..good one.
I guess that a good example of where it's a bit irritating is if I have more than one scenario in the same scene and therefor various cameras.
It just seems to me that always rendering the active viewport would be the default.
And so whilst I realise that workflows vastly differ, it's all generally about intuitive options. But then it's Friday night and I just had a couple of bottles of wine so it's entirely possible that......

I realise I omitted this link to the post I found - so just for thoroughness's sake here it is. I don't use maya so can't confirm if this is still the case.
