  • Choose which GPUs run Optix and Material Editor

    Hello,

It would be nice to be able to choose which GPUs do Optix denoising and which don't. I might be wrong, but it appears that Optix eats up VRam on my rendering, non display cards when enabled. I have a 1080 Ti for display etc and and (2) 2080 Ti's for rendering. The 1080 Ti is disabled for rendering.

It would also be kind of nice to be able to choose which card runs the material editor. So in my circumstance I would have the 1080 Ti do the display, material editor, and Optix. The 2080's would then just do the rendering.

    Does that make sense? Thanks!

We are limited for now on the Optix denoiser GPU choice, be sure that we will add it as soon as it is possible for us.

The material editor is using only the CPU, even if the current renderer is V-Ray GPU. This will change sooner or later.
If it was that easy, it would have already been done
