VRayClipper exclude by layer

Would it be possible to add exclude by layer in the VrayClipper.
We are working essentially with xrefs and we are unable to use the exclude function as we can't add selections of objects that are in xrefs and not in the max file themselves.

Something similar to the exclude by layer that is implemented with the override material would be ideal.

Really struggling without it, and it will be worse in the coming months are we relying more and more on clippers

It's in the list but there a lot of things before that.
