Hello,
still new to 3dsMax, but I am desperately missing a small handy feature from Vray Maya:
There you can always select the renderable camera (for the IPR) with right-click.
In Max it quickly becomes messed up, when changing viewport layout (single/4 view) or even if you want to have a different camera in a single viewport than in the IPR or when camera was locked or ...or... or...
For sure there are known workarounds and smart people, who know better than me what they are doing,
but the ability just to straight choose at any time and at any circumstances just the wished camera right inside the IPR is absolutely unbeatable artist-friendly.
You get what you choose, no worry about preferences in rendersettings or what you was doing meanwhile in the viewport.
