VFB 2 - allowing creation of Folders above Source section

Background layer does what I need (load an image as foreground) but lacks blending options - workaround is a Folder but this is available only within Source section of layer tree.

It was intentionally removed because of some technical issues. Can you explain how would you use it? Maybe we can bring it back if we know what's the desired workflow.

the use case: Overlay blend (so after/above tonemapper) some film grain patterns.

or add anything else than render element. simple composites after Source and Lens Effects. Background layer would work just fine but it lacks blending options.

Ok, thanks. We might add the ability to create folders in the main layer stack. Logged as VMAX-11793.
