  • Provide possibility of rendering in Vray IPR for 3dsmax fog

3dsmax fog is now not renderable in Vray IPR
You must click render to render it. This is a long-standing problem
    Look forward to being solved

I haven't seen anyone use Max Fog in years. What are you using it for?
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

In some shots that need to customize fog, especially when the animation lens, it will have some flexible effects,It can easily control the start distance and the end range.,The only inconvenience now is not being able to see and debug it in..It can't work with VrayiPr.If this is not a troublesome thing, maybe you can consider supporting it?
I also use vray's ambient fog, but in my opinion Max fog should not be an outdated thing except that it is not physical enough. It's more flexible in some ways, and vrayipr should support it.

I've talked with the devs and it seems that we can't do anything on our side. You can try contacting Autodesk for this one.

Do you mean to suggest that I contact the 3dsmax development team to support the rendering of maxfog in vrayipr? They can do that?

The limitation is on their side, so - yes.

                Hello,

For IPR we use some of the builtin functionalities of most objects in Max - cloning (creates an identical copy of the object in question). For some reason the 3dsmax Fog object doesn't allow cloning so it can't be used in IPR (there's a message in the log about that too).

                Best regards,
                Yavor
