It could be great that Vray use an 'Vray volume Material" like other render engine, instead of this atmospheric Vray volume grid and rollout workflow we got right now...
#1 :
It will be more easy to tweak settings during look dev : we will just need to copy material then continue tweaking when we are close to final result wanted and got a result we like...but need to continue tweaking...
#2 :
this will create same workflow as other renderer (Arnold, finalRender, etc), when setting material on a volume grid
#3 :
It will make it more easy to convert other volumegrid to vrayVolumeGrid, and inverse...
#4 : since this is part of a much bigger list of request regarding volume
This open door to more features request in futur when implemented (like FFX, tP direct volume rendering (we need to assign a material, so requesting this on vray right now make no sens since there is no volume material), etc...)
Please give us a Vray Volume Material workflow instead of atmospheric workflow for volume.
Cheers.
