I generally only use this for testing the scene before I do a full production render. It's easy to forget it's enabled.

How do you propose we guess when you are not doing just a test render?
If it was that easy, it would have already been done

I very very rarely run a full render at a test resolution %. I use the test resolution for IPR. So I guess perhaps, there could be an option to disbale it when not running IPR mode?

Maybe, but that means another option What about a more visible indication just for that switch? F.e. something orange-ish instead of the pale blue-grey?

          Radioactive red should do it!

Yes I read it in the notes. Good stuff. We wont be updating until the end of Feburary so I can't take a look. What colour did you go with?

Wow ... that had already been discussed in 2021...:

I ever thought, that this should not be a big deal and found it a bit strange at that time, why to lean against it. (Sorry, just training to be a proponent of good UI/UX with simple common sense) the keyword "UX" still takes some time to be respected more and more.
Now this made it finally in 6.1 ... thanks so much! =)

BTW: the little script here listed behind this link above by Nele, should also and better prevent you from rendering in the wrong resolution. This is something even the wildest colour can´t do for you...
If this would be just implemented by default, you can even keep the colour as it was before.

Sorry Guys, the forum here was quite buggy some moments ago and after a minute or so even a strange error message from here appeared. (by chance I made a screenshot of the message if interested)
It seems that my 4 attempts of replying my post were being collected and now released altogether... I personally can´t delete them, sorry.
