  • save out multiple file formats (i.e. renderchannels) at the same time like cloud can do

    Hi my Chaos Fam,

just ran into something i couldn't solve, maybe it's already possible and i'm just to blind to see.

As i describe it in the title. Is it possible to render out a sequence where the beauty is for example a 16bit tif but i want to have the channels in jpg format?
The cloud can do it i think, so that would really be a handy feature.
    Any hints on this aprreciated!

    HI, thanks for posting.
The Cloud always saves a set of jpg files along with whatever file format the user has set up for output - https://docs.chaos.com/display/VCLOU...in+Chaos+Cloud

You can not save for instance RGB in tiff and all else in jpg.
You can combine both available outputs of the frame buffer. Here they are - https://docs.chaos.com/display/VMAX/...uffer+Settings

      Hi Vladimir,
roger that, cloud can do it, but vray can't, right?
not sure if i understand your last sentence. Combine both outputs?
Anyway, i'd love to have this handy feature not only in the cloud
      wouldn't it be nice?

Actually if you use the output in the Common tab as well as the "Separate render channels" output from the Frame buffer it will work.

Here is the place to set up your RGB output in png format:

Set up you channels output in jpg here:

It is important to disable the check box "Save RGB".
This way the RGB will be saved from the Common tab output and everything else will be saved from the Frame buffer tab output.
