The addition of this type of shader would really help my workflow. Large terrains would really benefit from this type of shader as oppose to displacing it instead. Previews would be quicker (if supported within IPR).

Hi, thanks for posting There is an older thread about this feature.
The other members mention there that the currently supported OSL Map (3ds max) is rendering very slow. Do you have the same experience?
