  • simulating Diopter through a lens

i'm not sure if this is already in place, but i could not find a way to simulate a lens Diopter , i'm trying to make a specific optical lens focus or defocus depending on its diopter paramenter, like glasses. If this is something that could be achieved it would be a great application for medical purposes. If its already in place , point me in the right direction. Thanks !

V-Ray doesn't have such a preset. I guess one way to do it is to model an actual lens and place it in front of the camera.

You may perhaps find ways using the Lens Analysis tool, and creating yourself a .vrlens file of the lens you're trying to replicate.
I am unsure it will be resolutive for yuor specific case (it was meant more as a way to replicate scratches in real lenses, to match live footage.), but perhaps it'll give you hints.
