  • global glossy subdivs control

would be nice if we had a global glossy subdivs control in the global switches.

What exactly do U mean ? Having one and the same Glossy for all the materials ?

    Best regards,

I think Metin's Automator has something like that in his script.

I would have thought it would be like the global subdivisions multiplier, but only relating to the material glossyness subdivisions.

I.e. leave rendering settings alone (Hemis, QMC, etc.) but only affect materials. This way you could quickly set up the lighting in the scene to be how you want it, but then separately quickly control the materials to be not so grainny....

This Metin automator script sounds fantastic. I am working on a scene with a couple hundred different materials (due to very bad planning on my part) with glossy reflections and I need to globally reduce their subdivs from 24 to 12.

If only Websense wasn't blocking me from getting it...
