Hey guys this is great stuff. I have been trying to figure out a way to do this too. EVERY time I cancel a render - I have to free the bitmaps, or the scene never clears and will crash on the next render - EVERY TIME. This is so annoying.

So I also agree, if there is a way to make this automatic, that would be awesome. Adding it to our script bar isnt that hard either, just have to remember to push it.

Now to this batch render business.... I was thinking. Can you batch to a local backburner (manager and server on 1 machine) - that renders with DR to the rest of the farm? Don't know why I haven't tried this before.... have you?

Isnt there a thingy in the renderpanel that allows you to run scripts at the end of the render.

Could you just run the memory cleaning script there?

Not if it's a per-frame cleanup you wish.
The callback will ensure you'll have your GC() called after each frame.
