  • Refraction in the alpha channel

My problem is getting something to render behind glass. Im very close but the alpha of the object behind the glass doesnt refract. If it did, I could then get my objects diffuse refracted and with reflection in front and overlay this into my scene.

Then i could comp any object into a scene even when the object was behind glass.

I'm not quite sure what you mean... if you use the "Affect alpha" option for VRayMtl you will get the alpha of the refracted objects; is this not what you need?

    Best regards,

The problem occurs when i want to make the glass in front of the object a vraymtlwrapper matte. Even with affect alpha in the wrapper set on, the diffuse still bends but the alpha channel of the object remains straight and doesnt line up with the diffuse.

      Thanks

Ok, I see, but there is unfortunately no way around this other than rendering in two passes.
