  • Round corners shading

What do you guys think of a round corners feature within VRay-shaders like the round-corners-function coming with the new MentalRay version?

Would be a nice feature to get rounded corners when rendering. This should save polys in modeling process. Maybe this feature isn't that useful in closeup scenes.

You can buy f-edge. Does the same and works for all materials.

I'll give it a try but first thought of a built-in solution in VRay renderer.

I think having it as an option in the vray material would be great!

There is some work toward making the VRayEdgesTex to work like a bump map for the same effect, but we'll see where this goes.

would be nice to have it built into vray.

It would also be nice to go just a simple step further to add noise to the number. That way you can make the objects look a bit dingy if you want.
