  • Vray Sphere Fade + alpha

I belive I saw elsewhere that the next release will allow Vray SphereFade to output a correct alpha channel. This will be required to use the plugin with an exposed physical camera as it currently exposes the area outside the gizmo and creates alot of banding as well.

So this is just a reminder for the alpha channel.

I have high hopes for this plugin making Vray much more viable for multi-pass production work. Running GI qmc on everything with our farm is creating havoc. We always have the camera moving and objects moving in-scene.

This is correct, yes - newer versions of VRaySphereFade support the generation of alpha channel and they work with opacity-mapped objects as well.

VRaySphereFade has been included with the V-Ray installation in all RC versions so far since about a year now.

        Best regards,
