i'd really like it if instructors and students had access to a more usable demo version of v-ray. i teach 3ds max and often try to incorporate v-ray. the main issue is that the demo version will reset the settings every couple of minutes and this makes teaching the software incredibly frustrating for the instructor and the student. the students are getting the wrong impression of v-ray and just get frustrated and want to move on. i know the free version doesn't reset settings but theres sooo much more to v-ray that the free version doesn't offer.
i suggest an unrestricted 30-day trial demo like most software packages. make the V-Ray watermark bigger at rendertime if need be. i certianly dont mind the watermark...i do mind how the settings get reset with the current version. i would have the school just buy X number of seats but this is an online school and there isnt a physical classroom.
thanks,
