  • default path for GI maps

max looks in 3 ways for textures
    first is scene path
    if missing files then
max looks in the folder and subfolder where the scene files is
    if missing files then
max looks into the 3dsmax.ini user paths
if still missing maps then max do flag missing files

it would be nice to have the same for LC and IRR files

I need to load and fix GI paths all the time I get Vray scenes to render
    very annoying ...

I've been in the habit of putting all my GI solutions in the project's scene assets folder.

We've been using the Render Assets folder as they are only used at render time. Has worked well here.
