  • vertical shift auto key

The common way I render a bunch of frames over night is to set up my "animation" and then render specific frames over the course of time. It would be cool, if at those specific frames you you add the vertical shift mod to each of those frames and have it stick. Or maybe there is already something like that....But anyways it would be cool.

    Thanx

Couldn't you just animate the vertical shift?

that's what I tried, but it doesn't hold. I turn on Auto Key and then change it at each frame I want and it stays the same.

That's odd because it works here in Max. Are you using Max or Viz?

Hmmm...perhaps I am doing it wrong. I am pressing the AutoKey and it turns red. Then I go to the frame that I want and hit Guess Vertical Shift...then O move on to the next frame and etc. Weird. Thanx for your help.

We have manage to resolve this by inputing the value of vertical shift at each keyframe, not using "guess vertical shift" and it does animate.

You can always use guess vertical shift then SHIFT and RIGHT CLICK the spiiner that should set a keyframe (even without autokey)

See im not just a pretty...high post count

It is an extremely handy tip, make its easy to keyframe almost anything with ease.

Would it work if we made the "Guess vertical shift" button actually a check-button, that, when activated, would force 2-point perspective no matter the position of the camera (rather than just calculating the value once and entering it into the numeric field)?

                          Best regards,
                          Vlado
