    I meant that because the values are freeware, I don't know if it's allowed to put them in a program that will be sold...

        Hmm, I disagree. IF you can load the a.co file into a list in a VrayColor shader (a map...) you can put it anywhere, use it in any map slot. This is not true, if you can only access this via a n option for the diffuse color of the vray material.

        Anyway, what's wicked concept in max to separate "maps" and "materials"

          As a special map might indeed be better, then you can use it everywhere...I agree!
