  • Additions: Render Elements and VFB

    Three little wishes ...

    Render Elements:
    1) A Render Element that connects to the VRayBlend by possibly extracting based on all VRay Blends in the order of the list or possibly allowing Material Select to work across multiple objects.

...also some way to exclude/ replace MtlSelect in other passes.

    VRay Frame Buffer:
    2) History doesn't clear loaded image on rendering new image.
    3) Some form of an A/B image comparison tool.

    Best regards,

in 2004 I wished for this option. Like in maya, you can store images in the buffer and scrub between them like frames. Very useful, and unlike A|B comparison you can have as many as you want.

+1. It's very clunky having to save/load the images to the ramplayer.

Lightwave handles this well - it just stores all your images in order of time, and you can scrub through them with page up/dn, so often you will comparing to the last image/render, so you just tape page up and down again to compare.

The first request is super flexible also. We use custom shaders in Gelato that do something similar. If I get a chance this week I'll make some screen shots to describe what I'm talking about.
