  • Non-Uniform Scale of Sphere VRayLights

    Howdy --

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but I'd really love to have the ability to non-uniformly scale the spherical VRayLight emitters. I'm used to being able to do it with regular omni lights when trying to shape overall area lighting, but it'd be nice to be able to use the VRayLight to do this instead.

    Thanks!

Vlado mentioned something about geometric lights, the ability to use any geometric shape as a direct light source (without GI, and with perpixel sampling, like the actual VRaylights). By the way, can't you achieve the same effect with a rectangular light with emission on both sides? (assuming you want to use a light like this for generic flood illumination of large spaces)

    Best regards,
    A.
