  • Spawner Progress.

It would be great if the spawner on each machine had a progress bar for the bucket it is working on. Sometimes buckets seem to take a long time and it would be nice to be able to log into that machine and make sure it's making progress on the bucket.

I don't think I've ever had an individual bucket not finish once it started. Sometimes a DR machine will not render or render it wrong but it always finishes. Maybe I've just been lucky (anyone else). If I need to see activity on that machine I'll just open a VNC window and check the CPU activity.

Yeah it doesn't happen very often but on occation I'll have a machine get "stuck". I'll manually take that one off and another will take up the buckets and it usually finishes it quickly. The CPU will always be pegged, but it never seems to finish. It'd be nice to know if its really accomplishing anything.

well I didn't have the case aether. But it could be useful when a bucket is blocking to have a progress bar of the bucket on the individual node. So, when my render is nearly finished and only 1 or 2 bucket are still rendering i could go in vnc or whatever and see how long those buckets will take.

Let say Y have a studio rendering, and have some grass in the middle.
All the render render fast but the 4 buckets that are on the grass take ages.
I could decrease the bucket size and I do it, but I could have a better idea of the time that those bucker will hang on...

Anyway, it still could be usefull to have a renderpass with different color of the node name so we could easely see what node doesn't render right. (plugin that isn't install, etc)
It would be much easyer to track the render nodes that arn't rendering right and to fixe the problems.
