  • Multilayer EXRs scanline zip compressed

    Hi!

I would like to be able to directly write one exr containing all render elements that is zip per scanline compressed and not tiled.
I hope that i am right, but now it is only possible to write out either one exr per element that can be compressed to you likes, or one exr containing all layers that is tiled.

The reason for the tiling is obvious, not to hold the VFB in memory.
But if you are easily able to hold all buffers in ram and want to write out one exr with all layers that is not tiled, with the compression of yout choice, that would be awesome. Right now, we need to recompress them all again through nuke, as the scanline zip compressed version loads many times faster, and having them all in one file is simply much more tidied up than having a sequence for each element.

So maybe either be able by the "Render to Vray raw image file" output to add like "Save from Framebuffer" with the exr options available, or be able to select something like "Save to one exr file" in "Save separate render channels" would be awesome.

Oh - and as i'm on it... it would be cool if the save file option under "Save separate render channels" would remember the path and filename, and could be directly pasted like the "Render to Vray raw image file" dialog.

Thanks a lot and best regards,
    Michael
