  • 'map pooler'

we've been having issues with map links on network renders. the files have a lot of maps in various locations.

it would be great to have a tool which could get all the maps in the scene, and copy them into one location.
this would also make it easier when backing up, or copying files to use on another pc.

does anyone know of a quick way of doing this, or a plugin which can 'pool' maps?

      Hi Jonas,

Well the resource collector doesnt seem to work in all cases..

esp , when you use Vray proxys, you cant get them from your network passes..

I found a script that collects all datas available in the asset tracking window..

also collects the vray proxys, and it seems to funktion good as far as we´ve used it.

Lokation of the script at scriptspot.com is:

      good luck

I have used File->Archive for this purpose, and if I recall it didn't have any issue picking up the proxies as well.

to remap you can use File/ Asset Tracking i use this all the time. It may do what you want to do have not played with all the settings Cehck it out

I think by default its in "Tree Mode" Change it to Table Mode and right click on an item and you can repath it

The Stuff collector is much faster than Maxes built in tools as well
