It would be nice if I could use a cone gizmo aligned (look at constraint) between an object and the camera so the gizmo would pass through all the transparent surfaces between the camera and the object.
This would offer a quick and easy way to rerender specific regions of a scene without setting up a complicated compositing pipeline.
The current sphere gizmo is limited because if you are rendering objects that are behind a sheet of glass, for example, then the reflection and refraction is ignored if its outside the zone of the gizmo. Having a cone gizmo would ensure everything between the object and the camera was rendered.
