Vlado - is it possible for Vray to store floating point information in the Frame Buffer and make it possible to adjust a view's F-Stop (or even ISO, etc.) after a scene is rendered?

VrayFB Exposure Control Possible?

Well, the Vray Camera usually starts off the F-Stop at 8. I'd like to simply be able to dial something like this down or up with the FB after a scene is rendered. I didn't know if that was possible.
It would save many of us a tremendous amount of time rendering and re-rendering.

I second that though, but don't know if that would be very appreciate, knowing that changing the F Number change the DOF of the view.
So it would be very useful when we want to know quickly what the illumination would be with another F Number but DOF would be different when you re render with the new changes.
Anyway, is there a way the view the DOF in the viewport ? Or any chance that could be implemented ? The trick of creating a standard camera and link it to the VrayPhysCam all the time to see the dof in the viewport is not very convincing.3LP Team

Honestly, I really don't use DOF that much because it is one more thing that takes up more time - adjusting and readjusting according to distance.
If just the F-Stop could be readjusted in the VFB this would be a huge step in production for many people and companies.

the correct value to change would be the shutter speed, or maybe ISO.
this would have the same effect, without making logic problems with DOF.
i think technically this would be the same as adjusting the curves or histogramm in VFB, only with another "interface" that calculates these values for you.
you could already now try to calculate how much you would change the VFB setings for reducing shutter speed by half. more smooth to work of course would be a shutter peed adjustment, so i second the wish.

Nuke uses just the F value in its viewer, and works a charme.
It's not cheap, however.Lele
