  • combination of 2d and 3d motion blur

Right now Vray doesn´t seem deliver a valid velocity channel when motion blur is disabled (channel is pure black). I was hoping I could combine the advantages of 3d motion blur (curved motion blur when more than 2 geometry samples are used) with a very slight image motion blur (Max 2d render effect or Combustion motion blur filter) to get away with lower quality (and thus faster) settings for the 3d blur. It would at first generate an image with more noise in the 3d blur, but it would be smoothed out by the 2d blur render effect. Does this make sense and is it technically possible?
