  • VRay Toon with *.ai export

    Hello,

I wish to have an option to export vector lines from VRay Toon renderings as *.ai files.
FinalToon does support that feature. But I'd prefere a vray integrated solution.

It is a bit complicated as VRayToon does not trace lines as such, but "feels" around a shading point for differences in geometry/normals etc (which is why VRayToon can work with displacement, reflections, motion blur, dof etc). I think some vector programs allow you to re-trace a raster image, but I haven't done this myself.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

I see. Thanks for that explanation Vlado!

I'd settle for a render element which allows me to not render it in the main image, but use it in post

This can be done probably... I have to check.
