Would be nice to have an option in VraySphereFade to work in screen space. Sometimes i have an object I want to render so put a gizmo around it, but at the same time I want to render the background behind the object, then i have to add another gizmo. So sometimes I have to make 5-10 gizmo instead of just having one that works in screen space.

Is it not easier to just use region rendering in that case?

I Suppose the problem would be if the object is moving all over the screen, you can't link the region to be rendered like you can with the spherefade...

You can do a "region render selected", and in that case the region will follow the object. Not sure if that would work through back-burner though.

I do indeed have animated stuff, and for various reason "region render selected" won't work as good as VraySphereFade.

I'd like to add a vote for screen-space option. It would be very convenient at times.

I seem to recall we discussed this (or same concept anyway) at one point, a long time ago.

Actually that reminds me -- someone suggested a trick for adding a perfectly clear "glass" plane with 1.0 IOR inside the sphere (or something like that) -- i think that will give you the background. I can dig up the exact tip from my saved archives if you want.

(Although I still would love to see it hard-coded Vlado).

Though I never use vray sphere fade I would say to have this option is useful.
However I think you could easily do this with a script to analyze distance from camera and translate that into scale value of the gizmo to be constant.

Not everyone knows how to script

Also scaling the gizmo doesn't help, vray render it as it wasn't scaled. But I guess that could be added to the wishlist too, and support for CylGizmo and BoxGizmo.

I've already logged this as a feature request, so hopefully it will go into one of the next builds.
