It would be quite nice to be able to use box and cylinder gizmos with VRayspherefade (obviously the name would have to change too) for computing projected shadows coming from a distant light, for exemple...
Paul.
it would also make possible to compute a circle in screen space (a cylinder oriented toward the camera) and sort out the problem of Thomas in this thread: http://www.chaosgroup.com/forums/vbu...ad.php?t=47149
No?
OK, so it seems that I'm the only person on earth concerned, but still, now that you've extended the possibility of environment fog in SP4, it would be SO GREAT to do the same for vrayspherefade! The possibility to choose a mesh as a gizmo would bring so many possibilities for so many cases, to begin with GI computation...
please please please please pleaaaase!
About the render region, I forgot to say that it doesn't seem to work when you use vray buffer and exr files (I don't remember the exact error but it's related to the way exr tiles the images, and that the size of the region rendered doesn't match with the exr buckets, something like that I guess...) so it's not an excuse not to develop a better 'vrayspherefade' plugin (I refer to the previous topic).
Paul.
error: [VFBCore::SetRegion] Error writing render region to raw image file.
[ExrFile::WTRegion] Region data ((107, 111)-(171, 175)) and tile size ((64, 64)-(128, 128)) do not match
I don't put that in VRay problems, because I don't care! : p
