  • Exclude Local machine from DR renders

I'm kind of surprised there's not an option for this (that I know of), but it would be great if we could exclude the local machine from participating in DR render jobs. Seems like it should be a pretty simple thing to implement.

Any chance of seeing this in a new update??

    Thanks,

You can do this by submitting the job through BackBurner and not having the DR slave running on your local machine. I use this all the time.

      Thanks,
It is not simple at all, actually; the client machine must go through all the rendering steps, so that it can correctly pass rendering data to the render servers and collect back the results. It may be possible to force the client machine to not render any buckets, but it will still be blocked until the rendering is complete; it might as well do some useful work in the meantime

      Best regards,
      Vlado
