It would be a great timesaver to disable the atmopheric effects from the GI solution but still have them in the final render. So that they are reflected and refracted.

seconded!
Although this can be easily done by adding another pass with the atmos turned on and the geo with matte turned on so it catches the reflections.

Thanks. Yes thats right, but you don't get any refractions.
I have switched from Brazil to Vray just a few months ago and it was a cool feature in Brazil, just to switch off the atmospheric effects from GI and a big timesaver too.
I would realy like to render a atmospheric pass with both that would solve some of these problems but for setting up a scene it would speed up the process to disable atmos fore GI.

Reflections are not the problem but the refractions are!
There should be something like a "preserve transparency" obtion for matte objects, than it would be no problem to render a correct atmo pass.

ahhh, yes, refraction... i missed that!
So really another wish would be to have the matte objects supports proper refraction, as well as disabling atmos in GI
That way you have the choice of methods!
Is that possible Vlado?
