  • Multiple region render

Could we please have a possibility to mark more than 1 region in a picture for render?

Since the Vray frame buffer already contains a render-region feature then marking more than one region would be a logical next step perhaps...

Or even more cool feature would be a region of a different shape than just rectangle....

Corona render has this and its a very useful feature and you can also turn the region off mid render and let it do the rest of the frame, but I think that's only possible in a progressive renderer.

I would like to resurrect this feature request. Still a great feature that I think Vray should def have.

I made a scripted solution to this a while ago.

+1, This would be cool. Sometimes I only want to re-render certain areas. Currently I have to select region, render, repeat several times.

While this would be nice you can do it at least two ways now. One way is to make a mask sequence in another program and use it as a render mask to render whatever areas you wish (animated as well).

The other is to use Deadline, which has this functionality built-in, and re-assembles the regions into a single file if you wish. Deadline is now free for unlimited nodes, BTW.

But still...That is a very slow and annoying workaround for a feature that exists in a sister product.

exactly! Just googled 1 min - Fstorm also has multi region render function. (engine made by 1 dev?)
