  • Polygonal render regions??

Did a quick search for this and didn't see anything....

But it would be great to be able to render regions in shapes other than rectangles. And for even more control, how about MULTIPLE regions?? I know the minutes have really added up when rendering several little areas of an image... waiting for the scene to load up on slaves, adjusting the regions, etc...

    1) polygonal render region selection tool (like a lasso tool) to select areas more efficiently.
    2) ability to create 2 or more regions for Vray to render in the same pass

    Anyone else agree??

I would very much second that. Just had a project where this would have been very handy.

          Check this out:

I've used it in a recent project and works really well. It also has the benefit that the masks are stored in your scene, so you already have the region when you have to re-render again this object

It's a bit of work to set up the first one, but once you have it reusing/adjusting it pretty straightforward.

          P.S: Thanks 3DMK
